HIGHLIGHTS OF TERM 4, 2011.......
AUTHOR'S AFTERNOON LEVEL 3
We recently held our first of many Author's Afternoon for the Level 3 students. To hear them read their stories with expression and commitment to an audience of adults was wonderful. To see their reaction when they sat down once they'd finished not only showed relief but also an immense pride in what they had achieved. All who attended commented on how much they had enjoyed the afternoon!
KILSYTH CUP
Our annual fun run, the Kilsyth Cup, has been run! What a magnificent day we had. Thanks to the fine weather, we were able to hold the event on the oval. The students did a magnificent job running for 30 minutes and raising money with every lap.
Now is the time to return your sponsorship money and collect your chosen, hard-earned prize! Well done everyone.
Medals for the highest number of laps per year level will be presented at assembly soon.

Kilsyth's culture determines that:
Every single child must be given the chance to be the best they can be, whatever their talent or background. For students to learn effectively we form relationships which nurture each student’s learning based on individual need to help them experience success.
All students are entitled to an excellent education and genuine opportunity to succeed. At Kilsyth Primary School, programs and initiatives have been developed that create and maintain positive and productive partnerships between teachers, staff, students, parents and the wider community. Students in our classrooms are intellectually engaged, and feel a sense of collaborative partnership with their peers and experience supportive relationships with their teachers. These classrooms are rewarding places to learn and teach. more...
